“The biggest disease today is not leprosy or tuberculosis…it is the lack of love and charity; the terrible indifference towards one’s neighbor.”
– Mother Teresa
Bishop Desmond Tutu once said, “The best way to eat an elephant is one bite at a time.” We have to start somewhere to start healing our world. In I AM the Documentary, Tom Shadyac asks the important questions: What’s wrong with our world? And what can we do about it?
Through wonderful, insightful interviews with Bishop Desmond Tutu, Noam Chomsky, Lynne McTaggart, Thom Hartmann, Howard Zinn and David Suzuki to name just a few, Shadyac explores what we can do to heal our world. Everyone interviewed agrees:
“This is the most profound discovery in all of physics.”
“The science shows us that we are all connected.”
“What we do at the individual level, really does affect the global environment.”
We really are deeply connected, and with compassion, we will experience unity. And when we experience that deep sense of unity, I believe we wil begin to heal our world.
Bishop Desmond Tutu asks us to “Do your little bit of good where you are; it’s those little bits of good put together that overwhelm the world.” We can all start today.
The Shift is About to Hit the Fan! All Aboard!
Have you seen I AM the documentary – if so, I’d love to hear what you thought of it. And as always, thank you for stopping by. I appreciate it.
One has to relinquish ego, not fear dogma, become rooted in peace and love: connection will follow.

I just watched it this afternoon. Yet another stellar recommendation by you! It’s easy to feel your up against a Goliath with the greed and corruption that dominates the world these days. This film was a good reminder to think big and start small in our everyday actions with a mindset of love and compassion. What really got me was the connection between the heart , the brain, and all the living things around us.For me it’s important to listen to my heart, there in usually lies the truth. Thanx again.

Hey Doug,
So glad you watched it and appreciated it. I knew you would! I so agree, it is an excellent reminder to think big and start small, but just START! And a great reminder to operate from a mindset of love and compassion. We can all use that reminder often.
Thanks once again for taking the time to write Doug, I really value you comments a lot.

Trivia time! Who sang the song? Better still, who wrote the song? Do you know without going to Google?
You aren’t in the music business are you? LOL.

Ah Jeff (*funny my husband’s name is Jeff and we often play ‘Name That Tune’ with each other and challenge who sang/who wrote. I knew Jackie DeShannon sang it (ok I’m showing my age – we sang it in Glee Club at my primary school and talked about Jackie DeShannon, so it stuck.) Now in terms of who wrote it, I did guess it was Burt Bacharach, but had to look it up on Wikipedia to confirm the duo of Hal David and Burt Bacharach.
That was fun!

I believe you got it…congrats! So I’m just a “second place Jeff” eh…LOL!
Yeah, we all move along in time, and sometimes we just can’t get out of “showing our age.”
It’s okay, “That’s life, that’s what people say…” Hey, another tune to name! Remember, no Google…until you absolutely have to!
Take care,

I’ve been up and down and over and out
But I know one thing:
Each time I find myself flat on my face,
I pick myself up and get back in the race.
Too easy as to who sang it! The one and only Blue Eyes. So many songs of Frank Sinatra’s that I love. One of my favorite memories is dancing to that very song with my father (*standing on his feet as i recall)
As to who wrote it, that I will have to Google:
Writer(s):KAY, DEAN / GORDON, KELLY L.
Had no idea!
Thanks for writing again Second-Place-Jeff!

Patti, you’re great! I have a feeling you are tuff to stump in this “name that song writer” game! Old blue eyes was a great singer, no doubt.
I believe it’s your turn for a song-stumper, if you’d like. I do admit one thing, I cheat at times…(hey, I’m trying to self-improve on that point.)
Have a great day/night,
2nd Place Jeff
